Why do collections go offline?
If you want a simple answer - privacy and simplicity. And it is only the starting stage of what we plan to do.
Since the beginning of the development we wanted a simple sharing option for collections. One that produces a shareable link. Therefore we opted for a simple, elegant, yet secure way to build such a feature. Unfortunately it comes with an important limitation. Editing or disabling the share once it is published online is not possible by the user. The communication is one-time and one-way (from the Tablerone to the server and voila, that's it). The only way to ensure privacy with this kind of setup in the long term is to implement a timed kill-switch.
If Share gains popularity the way we hope it will, we will massively improve the functionality and remove the "offline" limitation.
